Key Stage 1 Revision English

Year 1 – Designed for ages 5 to 6, this stage will introduce your child to learning. They will develop phonic knowledge, correct sounds to letters, learn to read by blending sounds, spelling basic words and much more.

Year 2 – Designed for ages 6 to 7, this stage will built upon what your child has learned in year 1. Key Stage 1 Revision Maths

Year 1 – Designed for ages 5 to 6, this stage will introduce your child to learning maths. They will learn to count until 100, mathematical statements, 2D and 3D shapes, fractions, movement, direction and much more.

Year 2 – Designed for ages 6 to 7, this stage will built upon what your child has learned in year 1 maths. They’ll learn to identify 2D and 3D shapes further, number ordering up to 100, measurement units, multiplication of two, five and ten. In additional they’ll learn basic division and the equals sign. This section has been designed to aid your child in the preparation for their year 2 SATs.

Key Stage 1 Revision Science

Year 1 – Designed for ages 5 to 6, this stage will introduce your child to learning. At this stage your child will learn the names of evergreen trees, basic plants, common fish and animals, reptiles, birds, mammals and identifying which are carnivores, omnivores and herbivores. You child will also be taught the different seasons and the physical properties of materials.

Year 2 – Designed for ages 6 to 7, this stage will built upon what your child has learned in year 1. This will include, identifying habitats, micro-habitats, how animals feed, the basic animal food chain, how seeds and bulbs grow, understanding the basic survival needs of humans and animals, and much more.
