  • On 8 March 2012 the Welfare Reform Act received Royal Assent. The Act legislates for the biggest change to the welfare system for over 60 years and poses a huge challenge for all those working in the social housing sector.
  • Working at height isn’t common in many industries, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an important consideration for employers. Working at Heights has been developed to provide individuals and organisations with the knowledge required to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. It is recommended that any workers who have to plan or carry out working at height complete this course.
  • If you’ve found yourself working from home for the first time it can be a difficult adjustment to make. You also need to ensure your working environment is suitable and safe to work in even if you regularly work from home. Working from home is more common than ever before. It’s a different way of working than when in an office or on-site somewhere. Starting to work from home can also be difficult adjustment for some.
  • For those working with children with learning difficulties or disabilities, there are a lot of increased considerations that need to take place in regards to their safeguarding and care. This course gives an overview of information and guidance needed for those who work or care for children and young people in this situation. This wide-ranging course covers the definitions, needs and laws relating to children with learning difficulties and disabilities, including legislation, communication and partnership.
  • The course will explore team models and team leadership and look at achieving win-win situations. Applying the right skills in the right situations helps build, develop and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships. Case studies of successful teams are provided as examples.
