Introduction: The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, as amended by the Health and Safety Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2002 places significant responsibilities upon employers for the health and safety of their staff. This course has been developed to enable organisations comply with the law by providing learners with an increased understanding of health and safety relating to display screen equipment and workstations. The fire safety course helps you to fulfil your legal obligation by providing your staff with the knowledge and understanding required to act safely in the event of a fire in the workplace.

Training Objectives:

  • Awareness of Health and Safety at Work
    • Understand the key principles of workplace health and safety
    • Outline accident prevention
    • Investigation and reporting
    • Communicate health and safety information
    • Recognise common health and safety hazards and how they can be controlled
  • Display Screen Equipment and Workstation Assessment
    • Understand what display screen equipment is
    • Know how to work safely with display screen equipment
    • Understand how to complete self-assessments
    • Be able to organise work and the workplace.
    • Know how to report problems or symptoms.
  • Fire Safety Training
    • The hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
    • How fire risk is controlled in the workplace.
    • The principles and practice of fire management at work.

Accreditation: All three courses are RoSPA assured and accredited by CPD. The certificates, awarded upon successful completion, can be used to log your hours against.

Duration: Each course usually take between 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete, depending on the speed of learning. Learners do not have to complete all the training in one session as progress is recorded throughout and the training can be paused and resumed in our learning management system at any time.

Target audience: This training pack is aimed at anyone working in a role that require Health and safety training.

Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements for this course.

Test and Certificate: Each end of course test consists of multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve an 80% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test three times at no extra cost. If learners do not achieve the 80% pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team. Learners will be able to download a digital certificate on completion of each course. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.
